Kira Nerys: Bajoran Colonel in charge of Deep Space 9.
Nog: Ferengi in Starfleet and acting chief of security. Nephew of Quark.
Quark: Ferengi owner of Quark's.
Julian Bashir: Starfleet doctor, and head of the medical division aboard DS9.
Miles O'Brien: Past chief of operations aboard DS9. Newly moved to Earth with his family to take a position at Starfleet Academy. Currently back on DS9 and accused of sabotage to the station before he left his position.
Tiris Jast (Tiris Jast at Memory Beta, the wiki for licensed Star Trek works): Bolian Starfleet commander, newly assigned to the USS Defiant and Deep Space 9 as Kira's first officer.
