Template:Realworld Nathan Schroeder is a production illustrator of Hollywood films who worked on 2009's Star Trek. Raise in St. Louis, Missouri, Schroeder graduated from the University of Southern California School of Cinema Television with a bachelor's degree in Cinema TV production. He later studied Fine Art and Illustration at Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California.

Schroeder began his film career as an art director on 1997's Mortal Kombat: Annihilation, starring Brian Thompson. He then served as art director on the 1998 Jean-Claude Van Damme vehicle, Legionnaire. Schroeder moved on to illustration, beginning as a storyboard artist for the 2000 TV movie Geppetto, which starred Star Trek: The Next Generation's Brent Spiner and Star Trek: Deep Space Nine's Rene Auberjonois.

Among Schroeder's film illustration credits are all three X-Men films: 2000's X-Men, 2003's X2, and 2006's X-Men: The Last Stand. All three of the films starred Famke Janssen and Patrick Stewart; the first two were directed by Bryan Singer and also featured Bruce Davison, while the latter co-starred Kelsey Grammer. Schroeder also worked on the two Pirates of the Caribbean sequels, 2006's Dead Man's Chest and 2007's At World's End. Both films featured Lee Arenberg.

Schroeder has worked with director Michael Bay on two films, 2001's Ali (featuring LeVar Burton, Michael Dorn, Albert Hall, and Bruce McGill) and 2005's The Island (2005, featuring Ethan Phillips). The latter, like 2009's Star Trek, was written by Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci. Schroeder has also worked with director Nancy Meyers on her films What Women Want (2000), Something's Gotta Give (2003), and The Holiday (2006).

His other illustration credits include the films The Haunted Mansion (2003), Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events (2004), The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause (2006, featuring the aforementioned Michael Dorn), Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer (2007), National Treasure: Book of Secrets (2007, featuring Bruce Greenwood), The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian (2008), and Paramount's Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (2008). He is currently working on The Wolfman and Land of the Lost, both for Universal Pictures and both set for release in 2009.
