Neutron flux was a physical phenomenon the exposure to which could be could lead to the kind of symptons dr. Lewis Zimmerman was experiencing in 2376. Hence one of the first things The Doctor asked him when he started examening him was if he was ever exposed to Theta radiation or neutron flux. Zimmerman was annoyed though, as he thought it was the kind of question a first year medical student would ask. (VOY: "Life Line")
