Nick E. Tarabay (born 28 August 1975; age 48) is an actor who appeared as a Klingon patrol officer in J.J. Abrams' Star Trek Into Darkness in 2013. Tarabay is probably best known for his part as Ashur in the television mini-series Spartacus: Gods of the Arena (2011) and the television series Spartacus: Blood and Sand (2010-2012). On both series he worked with Trek actors Peter Mensah and Manu Bennett while he worked with Cynthia Addai-Robinson on the latter one.

Born in Beirut, Lebanon, Tarabay moved to New York after high school and worked as a clothing salesman for Hugo Boss and Gucci beside studying acting at the T. Schreiber Studio and performing in stage plays. In 2004 he moved to Los Angeles, California.

Tarabay's first role was the part of a dancer in an episode of Sex and the City (2000, with Kim Cattrall) followed by a recurring role in three episodes of The Sopranos (2001 and 2004). In 2005, he worked on the short thriller When All Else Fails, written, directed, starring and produced by Star Trek Into Darkness executive producer David Ellison. Tarabay also appeared in episodes of CSI: Miami (2007), The Unit (2007, with Abby Brammell, Conor O'Farrell, Vyto Ruginis, Michael Cavanaugh, Carlos LaCamara, and Richard Penn), Moonlight (2007, with Ian Abercrombie, Paul Rae, and Chase Kim), Without a Trace (2009, with Enrique Murciano) where he was stunt doubled by Panuvat Anthony Nanakornpanom, and NCIS: Naval Criminal Investigative Service (2009, directed by James Whitmore, Jr.) and portrayed the role of Axel Finet in the short living drama series Crash (2008-2009, with Linda Park, Julie Warner, Spencer Daniels, Tom Wright, and Kelvin Han Yee).

More recently, Tarabay guest starred in episodes of Detroit 1-8-7 (2011, starring Aisha Hinds and Erin Cummings), Common Law (2012), Burn Notice (2013, with Philip Anthony-Rodriguez), and Major Crimes (2013, with Raymond Cruz, Jonathan Del Arco, and Ron Marasco) and completed the drama Death Valley (2013). tarabay has also been cast to play CIA Black Ops Niko Zepeda in the upcoming fantasy series Believe (2013), executive produced by J.J. Abrams and Bryan Burk. [1]
