Nicole Forester (born 19 November 1972; age 51) is a Daytime Emmy Award-nominated actress who has appeared on two Star Trek spin-off series. She first appeared as an imaginary Dabo girl in the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine episode "Distant Voices" in what was her first television acting appearance. She later played the role of Nora in the Star Trek: Enterprise episode "Horizon".
Forester was born Nicole Theresa Schmidt in Ann Arbor, Michigan. She majored in Musical Theatre at Western Michigan University and studied performance at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts campus in Pasadena, California, from which she graduated in 1993. She also studied at the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) and at the Goethe Institute in Schwabisch Hall, Germany, where she became fluent in the German language.
Since appearing on DS9, Forester made guest appearances on television shows such as The Single Guy (starring Olivia d'Abo), Pensacola: Wings of Gold (starring Kristanna S. Loken), Diagnosis Murder (with Joanna Cassidy), Strong Medicine (developed by Whoopi Goldberg and co-starring Nikita Ager), and NBC's hit sitcom Will & Grace. Following her stint on Enterprise, she was seen on Monk (with Stanley Kamel and Sarah Silverman) and the hit CBS sitcom Three and a Half Men.
In addition, Forester had recurring roles on Beverly Hills, 90210 (working with Michael Durrell, Cynthia Graham, Rosie Malek-Yonan, Michelle Phillips, Paul Popowich, and director Michael Ray Rhodes), UPN's Shasta McNasty, and NBC's Mister Sterling. During her time on the latter series, she worked with fellow Star Trek alumni Jeff Allin, Vaughn Armstrong, Steven Culp, Bob Gunton, Randy Oglesby, George D. Wallace, and Harris Yulin.
Forester has also appeared in such made-for-TV movies as 1995's The Christmas Box (with Robert Curtis Brown), 1998's Perfect Prey (with Gregg Daniel and Richard Riehle), and 1999's Three Secrets (starring with Katy Boyer and again acting alongside Robert Curtis Brown). In 2005, she starred with Cristine Rose in a TV pilot for ABC called Enough About Me, but the show was not picked up. Forester's feature film credits include 1999's The Omega Code (with Robert Ito and Robert O'Reilly) and Simpatico and 2003's Vampires Anonymous (working alongside Brent Hinkley and Paul Popowich).
Since 2005, Forester has starred as Cassie Layne Winslow on the long-running CBS soap opera Guiding Light. One of her co-stars on this series is TOS alumna Marj Dusay. For her performance on this series, Forester was nominated as Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series at the 35th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards in 2008.
