An orbital platform was a 24th century Federation spacecraft operated by Starfleet. These spacecraft were equipped with life support systems.

In 2380, ten of these platforms were placed around the fifth moon of Mixtus III by the USS Cerritos and the USS Vancouver. After the Vancouver caused the moon's implosion, these platforms, working together, used a tractor spread to control the moon's resultant orbital debris. As these platforms were not rated for low attitude, Starfleet personnel had to operate them manually. Upon completion of the mission, the platforms were removed from orbit and stored aboard the starships. (LD: "Cupid's Errant Arrow")
