Yridian crate

An Yridian ore container

Ore is a mixture of materials from which minerals could be refined.

In early 2153, the Seleya made it into the Delphic Expanse and entered an asteroid field to mine trellium ore and refine it into trellium-D. (ENT: "The Expanse")

Topaline ore could disrupt sensors. (TOS: "Friday's Child"; ENT: "The Shipment")

Ore ships called on the lithium cracking station on Delta Vega in the 23rd century. (TOS: "Where No Man Has Gone Before")

In 2262, the SS Beagle became disabled near the 892 system, when it suffered damage from a meteor storm. R.M. Merik and a landing party beamed down to the fourth planet of the system to look for iridium ore for repairs. (TOS: "Bread and Circuses")

In 2266, a yellowish magnetic ore from Alfa 177 was accidentally introduced into the transporter system of the USS Enterprise. The ore caused the transporter to divide lifeforms and material into two objects which were visually identical, but intrinsically different. (TOS: "The Enemy Within")

The Woden was an old-style automated Federation Antares-type ore freighter destroyed in 2268. (TOS: "The Ultimate Computer")

File:Scott and Fisher with sensor device.jpg

Scott using a tricorder to detect ore contamination

A heavy version of a tricorder was used primarily to detect contamination caused by ores and gases, as well as to register radiation and atmospheric pressure. (TOS: "The Naked Time", "The Enemy Within", "The Doomsday Machine", "Obsession")

Regula, described as a "great rock in space" with a few "unremarkable ores," was also a class D planet. (Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan)

The planet Stakoron II reportedly had high deposits of miszinite ore. In 2369, the Ferengi opened negotiations with the Stakorons to obtain some of the ore. (DS9: "The Nagus")

In 2370, the USS Enterprise-D was in the Ufandi system looking for the Duras sisters. Riker believed that they'd gone there to sell the ore they mined on Kalla III. (TNG: "Firstborn")

On both Terok Nor of the "prime" universe and the Terok Nor of the mirror universe, ore was mined in ore processing centers. (DS9: "Civil Defense", "Crossover", "Through the Looking Glass")

In 2371, the Xhosa hauled a load of duridium ore to Solais V. (DS9: "The Adversary")

In the 24th century, the Norkova-type freighter was often used to transport ore. (VOY: "Author, Author")

In 2377, the con artist Gar also stole twenty kilograms of iridium ore from a Telsian mining operation. (VOY: "Critical Care")

Nocona's species mined various asteroid fields for its ore. (VOY: "Homestead")
