Paddi Edwards (9 December 193118 October 1999; age 67) was the actress who played the role of Anya in the Star Trek: The Next Generation second season episode "The Dauphin" in 1989. Her costume from this episode was sold off on the It's A Wrap! sale and auction on eBay. [1]

She began her acting career in the early 1960s, and continued through until her death. She was well known as a voice actress on a number of Disney animated movies, including The Little Mermaid (1989, with Rene Auberjonois, Kenneth Mars, Hamilton Camp, and Gerrit Graham) and Hercules (1997, with Phil Proctor, Matt Frewer, and Samantha Eggar). She was also the voice of "Gozer" in the hit movie Ghostbusters (1984, with Timothy Carhart and Michael Ensign).

Her other film appearances with Star Trek actors include Corvette Summer (1978, with Stanley Kamel, Eugene Roche, Dick Miller, and Nathan Jung), Halloween III: Season of the Witch (1982, with Martin Cassidy), To Be or Not to Be (1983, with Earl Boen, William Glover, and Phil Adams), Blue City (1986, with Paul Winfield, David L. Crowley, Allan Graf, and Tommy "Tiny" Lister, Jr.), Stewardess School (1986, with Earl Boen, Don Most, Richard Lineback, Robert Towers, Viola Kates Stimpson, Bill Erwin, Paul Eiding, and Brooke Bundy), Surrender (1987, with Iman and Bruce French), and Caged Fear (1992, with Karen Hensel, Deborah May, and Charles Gunning) and she had a few guest appearances on the comedy series Night Court as Bull Shannon's mother, working with John Larroquette.

Edwards died of respiratory failure in Encino, California, in 1999.
