Lieutenant Junior Grade Palmer was a Starfleet officer and member of the USS Enterprise-D crew in 2369. She served as a transporter operator.
Palmer was on duty when the Enterprise discovered Thomas Riker, the transporter duplicate of William T. Riker, at Nervala IV in late 2369. (TNG: "Second Chances")
- Palmer was played by Dr. Mae Jemison, and was the first Star Trek character to be portrayed by a real-life astronaut.
