Paul Stader (13 February 191110 April 1991; age 80) was a stuntman, stunt actor, and stunt coordinator who played gladiator Claudius Marcus in the Star Trek: The Original Series second season episode "Bread and Circuses". He received no credit for his role.

Stader was born in Neosho, Missouri. He was married to fellow stuntwoman Marilyn Stader and worked also occasionally as a second unit director. He doubled actors such as Johnny Weissmuller, John Wayne, Gregory Peck, and Cary Grant.

Among his extensive stunt resume are films such as nine Tarzan films (1939-1948), Captive Girl (1950), Moby Dick (1956), Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea (1961, with Michael Ansara), Lost Flight (1969), three Planet of the Apes films (1970-1973, with James Gregory, Jeff Corey, Gregory Sierra, Ricardo Montalban, Lou Wagner, Paul Comi, Paul Williams, France Nuyen, Paula Crist, and David Gerrold), The Return of Captain Nemo (1978), The Sword of the Sorcerer (1982, with Richard Lynch, Anthony De Longis, Jeff Corey, Joseph Ruskin, and George Murdock), Alice in Wonderland (1985), Split Decisions (1988, with Patrick Cupo and Joyce McNeal), and Eve of Destruction (1991, with Tom Morga, Tim Russ, George Wilbur, Tom Lupo, Thomas Knickerbocker, Jeff McCarthy, and stunts by Jeff Cadiente, Jeff Smolek, and Tim Trella).

He worked also in television series such as Sea Hunt (1958-1959), The Outer Limits (1963), The Time Tunnel (1966-1967, with James Darren, Lee Meriwether, and Whit Bissell), Buck Rogers in the 25th century (1981), Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea, The Man from Atlantis, and Planet of the Apes.

Stader died in 1991 in Los Angeles, California. He was 80 years old.
