Smith worked as both production designer and art director on a few other films, including Seems Like Old Times (1980, featuring Marc Alaimo and Bill Zuckert) and Big Trouble (1986, featuring Paul Dooley, Richard Libertini, Warren Munson, and Barbara Tarbuck).
