Philip "Phil" Charles Barberio (14 July 19458 May 2006; age 60) was a visual effects artist who served, employed at Future General Corporation, as a camera operator on the special photographic effects for Star Trek: The Motion Picture. He later served as a visual effects coordinator for Digital Magic on Star Trek: The Next Generation, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine and Star Trek: Voyager.

His work on The Motion Picture was his first Hollywood project. He went on to serve in the effects department for various science fiction movies, including Blade Runner (1982), Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi (1983), Ghost Busters (1984), The Blob (1988), and The Abyss (1989). He also worked on opticals for 1992's Waxwork II: Lost in Time (starring Zach Galligan and Marina Sirtis) and served as visual effects coordinator on the pilot television movie for The Flash (1992). More recently, he was visual effects supervisor on the television series The Sentinel from 1996 through 1999.

Barberio died of multiple myeloma in May of 2006 in Duarte, California at the age of 60.
