Lieutenant Commander Piersall was a 24th century Starfleet command division officer serving aboard the USS Prometheus in the early 2370s.
In 2370, he served as the Prometheus's commanding officer while it was assign to assist Gideon Seyetik during his attempt to reignite to the long dead star, Epsilon 119. (DS9: "Second Sight")
- According to a line cut from the episode, Piersall was impressed with the work that Miles O'Brien had done on the Prometheus's warp engines.
- Piersall was played by actor Mark Erickson. He was identified in the script as a Lieutenant Commander, but was mistakenly given the pips for an officer with the rank of Lieutenant Junior Grade. He seemed to have been in command of the Prometheus for the mission.
