The shuttlepod Pike was an auxiliary craft, shuttlepod number 12 attached to the starship Enterprise-D. A sublight type-15 shuttlepod, this was one of many small shuttles attached to that vessel. It was named for 23rd century Starfleet Fleet Captain Christopher Pike.
In 2366, the Pike was destroyed while on a mission piloted by Lt. Cmdr. Data. It had been sabotaged by merchant Kivas Fajo, who made it appear as if Data also perished in the explosion. (TNG:"The Most Toys")
