A Borg drone holds a plasma charge
The plasma charge is an explosive device used by Starfleet and the Bajoran Resistance which utilizes the high-energy state of matter known as plasma.
During the Occupation of Bajor, Latha Mabrin from the Shakaar resistance cell built a plasma charge which was later used for an attack on Gul Pirak's headquarters. (DS9: "The Darkness and the Light")
In 2372, Miles O'Brien used a plasma charge to escape from Meso'Clan. (DS9: "Hippocratic Oath")
In 2376, Ensign Harry Kim unsuccessfully attempted to disable the shield generator of a Borg cube manned by neo-natal Borg drones using plasma charges. (VOY: "Collective")
The same year, the USS Voyager came under attack by Turei plasma charges after taking shelter on the Vaadwaur homeworld. The Turei later redirected their charges towards the remnants of the Vaadwaur city, a number of Vaadwaur assault fighters, and the underground chamber where a group of Vaadwaur had survived for 900 years in stasis.
