A plasma manifold (also known as an EPS manifold or plasma distribution manifold) was a component that channeled electro-plasma through a (warp) power distribution system in a starship or space station. The technology was based on the 21st century ion distributor. (VOY: "One Small Step") One component of the plasma manifold was a phase compensator. (DS9: "Return to Grace")

The plasma manifolds of NX-class starships required an occasional purging. (ENT: "Unexpected") Klingon Birds-of-Prey possessed more than one plasma manifold, having at least one backup manifold. (DS9: "Return to Grace") Cardassian plasma manifolds used a beta-matrix compositor. The Federation was unable to replicate this sort of technology but, however, was able to replicate replacements for their own starships. (DS9: "Empok Nor"; VOY: "One Small Step")

In September 2152, Trip Tucker was annoyed to find Rellus Tagrim and his fellows cooking on top of a plasma manifold in Enterprise's catwalk. (ENT: "The Catwalk")

Soon after, Archer warned Kuroda Lor-ehn that he might overload the plasma manifolds on a prison ship they'd seized if he were to hit the wrong control. (ENT: "Canamar")

If a replicator power converter were crossed with the plasma manifold, there was a great chance the plasma relay would explode, although this did not always happen. (DS9: "Defiant")

In 2371, during an illicit attempt to use a spatial trajector, the USS Voyager's plasma manifold was bombarded by anti-neutrinos from the trajector field and destabilized almost the point of a warp core breach. B'Elanna Torres was able to avert this by destroying the trajector. (VOY: "Prime Factors")

When Tom Paris played the Insurrection Alpha holonovel in 2373, he was slightly too eager to join Chakotay's mutiny, causing Chakotay to assign him to lubricating the warp plasma manifolds in suspicion. (VOY: "Worst Case Scenario")

In 2375, Torres informed Emck that the plasma manifolds on his export vessel could be used instead of radiometric converters for breaking down theta radiation as the engineering principles were the same. (VOY: "Night")

Soon after, Harry Kim suggested using isomagnetic EPS conduits in the Delta Flyer's plasma manifold in order maximize the power distribution. (VOY: "Extreme Risk")

Later that year, Neelix offered Onquanii a plasma manifold during negotiations for a series 5 long-range tactical armor unit. (VOY: "Warhead")
