- Nana Visitor has been cast as Pamela Voorhees, the mother of Jason Voorhees, in the remake of Friday the 13th due next year. Visitor has said her appearance in the movie is relatively short and that a mold was made of her head. [1]

- Stanley Kamel, the actor who played Kosinski in the TNG episode "Where No One Has Gone Before", has died of a heart attack at the age of 65. He was found dead in his Hollywood Hills home by his agents on 8 April 2008. Kamel is best known for playing detective Adrian Monk's long-suffering psychiatrist, Dr. Charles Kroger, on the hit television series Monk. [7]

- After a nearly two-month hiatus due to the Writers Guild of America Strike, Boston Legal – the hit ABC series starring William Shatner and John Larroquette – returns with new episodes tonight at 10/9c. Tonight’s episode, entitled “Tabloid Nation,” will feature TNG guest star Stephen Root.

- TOS star Nichelle Nichols attended the Los Angeles-area premiere of her film, Lady Magdalene's, at the Backlot Film Festival last night. Prior to the screening, she sang one of the two songs she wrote for the film; after the screening, she partook in a Q&A session with the audience.
