Nana Visitor has been cast as Pamela Voorhees, the mother of Jason Voorhees, in the remake of Friday the 13th due next year. Visitor has said her appearance in the movie is relatively short and that a mold was made of her head. [1]

The FOX Network has greenlit a two-hour science fiction pilot written by veteran Star Trek writer and producer Ronald D. Moore, entitled Virtuality. [3]
Producers Sam Raimi and Robert Tapert have tapped Star Trek: Enterprise co-executive producer and scribe John Shiban to executive produce the upcoming syndicated television series Wizard's First Rule, based on the books by Terry Goodkind. [4]

Stanley Kamel, the actor who played Kosinski in the TNG episode "Where No One Has Gone Before", has died of a heart attack at the age of 65. He was found dead in his Hollywood Hills home by his agents on 8 April 2008. Kamel is best known for playing detective Adrian Monk's long-suffering psychiatrist, Dr. Charles Kroger, on the hit television series Monk. [7]

The acclaimed Rupert Goold production of Macbeth starring TNG's Patrick Stewart begins its seven-week run at Broadway's Lyceum Theatre tonight.
After a nearly two-month hiatus due to the Writers Guild of America Strike, Boston Legal – the hit ABC series starring William Shatner and John Larroquette – returns with new episodes tonight at 10/9c. Tonight’s episode, entitled “Tabloid Nation,” will feature TNG guest star Stephen Root.

TOS star Nichelle Nichols attended the Los Angeles-area premiere of her film, Lady Magdalene's, at the Backlot Film Festival last night. Prior to the screening, she sang one of the two songs she wrote for the film; after the screening, she partook in a Q&A session with the audience. [8] In addition, Nichols will be joining Zachary Quinto and Nana Visitor at Starfest in Denver, 18-20 April. [9]
TOS star George Takei left New York for California yesterday to film a role in the new Adam Sandler film, Bedtime Stories. [10]
Star Trek: Enterprise actor Connor Trinneer will star in the Sci-Fi Channel movie Termination Shock as a "space smuggler" with a beautiful woman as his cargo. [11]
Enterprise star Jolene Blalock will be a special guest presenter for the Space Technology Hall of Fame Private Induction Ceremony and special guest master of ceremonies for the Space Technology Hall of Fame Dinner at the 24th National Space Symposium in Colorado Springs on 10 April. [12]
