The purification squads were forces of the Palamarian Freedom Brigade loyal to General Nassuc in her fight against the Regent of Palamar. Follwing a violent between Nassuc and the Regent on Deep Space Nine in 2373, a Purification squad managed to track down and assassinate the Regent. Nassuc also sent purification squads after arms dealers Hagath and Gaila. (DS9: "Business as Usual")
