The Klingon sun.

The Klingon system was a planetary system. This system, located within the Alpha Quadrant, was less than 90 light years from the Sol system. The capital of the Klingon Empire, the planet Qo'noS, was located in this system. (TNG: "Sins of the Father"; Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country)

In 2151, it took four days for Enterprise NX-01 to travel from the Sol system to the Klingon system. (ENT: "Broken Bow")

This travel time seems problematic, as given Enterprise's maximum speed of Warp 4.5 at the time, the Klingon system would be extremely near to Earth. In the episode "Two Days and Two Nights", Captain Jonathan Archer stated that the farthest that Humans had traveled was 90 light years. The visit to Qo'Nos occurred before the Captain made this statement.

In 2293, the subspace shock wave caused by the Klingon moon Praxis caused an environmental disaster on the planet Qo'noS. (Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country)

The term "Klingon system" was only referenced once, by Kurn in "Sins of the Father." in a cut scene. The star, which was seen as the USS Enterprise-D and IKS Bortas approached Qo'noS in "Redemption", was never given a formal name.
According to the Star Trek: Star Charts, on page 56, the star was classified as an orange dwarf.
