Stone carving of Quetzalcoatl

Stone carving of Quetzalcoatl on display in captain Jean-Luc Picard's ready room aboard the USS Enterprise-E.

Quetzalcoatl was a feathered-serpent deity worshiped by the Toltec on Earth.

In 2270, Captain Kirk and the USS Enterprise encountered Kukulkan, an alien being who had visited Earth in the ancient past. Kirk surmised that the legend of Kukulkan was the source of the Toltec worship of Quetzalcoatl. (TAS: "How Sharper Than a Serpent's Tooth")

As of 2373, Jean-Luc Picard had a stone carving depicting Quetzalcoatl in his ready room aboard the USS Enterprise-E. (Star Trek: First Contact)

In the CD-ROM game Star Trek: 25th Anniversary, the Enterprise crew encountered Quetzalcoatl himself in 2268. He was a humanoid alien with supernatural powers and long life. He had made missions of peace to ancient Earth as well as Klingon colonies during the 2260s. His supernatural power stemmed from a gland at the top of his spine.
