Raghav Tandon is an independent producer who worked as production assistant for Bad Robot Productions on Star Trek Beyond. [1]
Tandon has been working for Bad Robot since June 2013 where he worked as liaison for internal department heads, agents, talents, and studio executives. He assisted in the editing process for the television series Almost Human (2013-2014, starring Karl Urban) and Believe (2014). As on set production assistant in London, United Kingdom, he worked on the sequels Star Wars: The Force Awakens (2015) and Mission: Impossible 5 (2015, with Simon Pegg). Other projects for Bad Robot include the television pilot Westworld (2015), the television comedy Roadies (2015), and the television mini series 11.22.63, based on the novel by Stephen King.
Tandon attended the Iroquois Ridge High School in Oakville, Toronto, Canada between 2000 and 2004 and the Carleton University in Ottawa, Canda between 2004 and 2008. He graduated with a BA in Mass Communication and then worked four months as communications strategist for the Canadian Mental Health Association in Ottawa before he moved as junior financial analyst to the company Becton Dickinson Inc. in Mississauga, Canada. He also worked as public relations and program mentor for Real Ideas Studio until May 2010.
Between 2010 and 2012, he attended the Columbia University in New York City where he graduated with an MFA in Creative Producing. During this time he also worked as faculty assistant in the producing department and as development intern for Protozoa Pictures for which he worked as researcher on Darren Aronofsky's drama Noah (2014). Prior to his employment at Bad Robot Productions, Tandon worked as assistant at Creative Artists Agency.
As filmmaker, Tandon produced the short projects 100 Mountains (2008), Faceoff, 8, The Gossip Queen (2013), Aftermath (2013), and H7N3 (2014), worked as assistant director on the short drama Penelope Chase (2012), and as director on the Real Life episode "The Intruder" (2014).
