Rahm-Izad

A map showing the location of Rahm-Izad.

The planet Rahm-Izad was located in the Rahm-Izad planetary system. This system was located within Sector 21459.

The planet was used by Captain Jean-Luc Picard as a ruse to throw Gul Ocett off the trail of the mystery surrounding the ancient humanoids. While Ocett believed that the last missing DNA fragment was located here, it was in fact located on Vilmor II. (TNG: "The Chase")

In "The Chase", the location of Rahm-Izad was pointed out by Data from a star chart of the Milky Way Galaxy. The location was in what is usually identified as the Beta Quadrant.
According to the novel The Best and the Brightest, Rahm-Izad is inhabited by the Rahm and Izad species.
Not to be confused with the similarly named Ram Izad homeworld in the Delta Quadrant.
