Ensign Reel was an operations division and later command division Starfleet officer serving aboard the USS Enterprise-D, under Captain Jean-Luc Picard during the mid-2360s.
Wearing the operations division uniform, he passed Lieutenant Commander Data in a corridor when the Android went into sickbay to see Ishara Yar. (TNG: "Legacy")
Reel manned the conn when the Enterprise-D received a distress call from the Federation science station on Ventax II and laid in a course to the planet. He was also on duty on the bridge when the woman who claimed to be Ardra took a seat in the captain's chair. (TNG: "Devil's Due")
He passed Lieutenant Commander Geordi La Forge and Doctor Leah Brahms in a corridor. (TNG: "Galaxy's Child")
