Regulus V was the fifth planet of the Regulan planetary system. This world was home to the eel-bird. (TOS: "Amok Time")
According to the Star Trek: Star Charts (pg. 56, "United Federation of Planets I"), Regulus V was located in the Regulus system, in the Beta Quadrant. This system, also known as Alpha Leonis, was a trinary star system. Regulus A was a Class B star with a magnitude of +1, which was a hundred times brighter than Sol. Regulus B was a Class M star. Regulus C was a Class K star. In the mid-22nd century, this system was located in non-aligned space. In 2151, the Enterprise flew through or near this system on its course to Qo'noS. In the late 24th century, this system was in or near Federation space. In 2378, Regulus V was a Federation member. Note: With Qo'noS being firmly established in the Alpha Quadrant and being within 90 light years of the Sol system, it was probably unlikely that the Enterprise did fly through or was near this system when it was on a course to the Klingon homeworld.
