Richard Krzemien is a writer and actor who wrote the story for the Star Trek: The Next Generation first season episode "The Last Outpost" which introduced the Ferengi to the Star Trek universe. Nearly two decades later, Krzemien appeared as a Starfleet Council member in Star Trek, standing in the first row of the audience at the end of the film during the graduation ceremony when Captain Pike relinquishes his command of the Enterprise to Kirk. [1] Krzemien was interviewed by Edward Gross for the article "Writer Richard Krzemien – Beyond The Last Outpost" for The Official Star Trek: The Next Generation Magazine issue 3, pp. 18-20.
