Golden Rob Swenson, also known as Rob Swenson, is a location manager and scout for film and television productions. He was one of the Key Assistant Location Managers and Location Scouts for 2009's Star Trek under Becky Brake. He also worked for Brake on the 2013 sequel Star Trek Into Darkness for which he received a California on Location Award in the category Location Team of the Year – Studio Feature Films in 2012.

Swenson began his Hollywood career as an office production assistant on the 1995 made-for-TV movie Wounded Heart, which starred Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan actress Bibi Besch. He then worked as Art Department Coordinator on the 1996 TV movie Beastmaster: The Eye of Braxus, directed by Gabrielle Beaumont and featuring Star Trek alumni Tony Todd, Patrick Kilpatrick, David Warner, and Olaf Pooley.

Early in his career, Swenson was an Assistant Location Manager for the USA Network. During this time, he worked on such television series as Silk Stalkings and The Invisible Man, as well as TV movies such as Reasons of the Heart (starring Terry Farrell and Leon Russom), Hearts Adrift (starring Nicholas Coster), Sins of the Mind (featuring Cyia Batten, Louise Fletcher, and Robert Pine). He then worked for Paramount Television as an Assistant Location Manager on the TV movies I Married a Monster (featuring Vaughn Armstrong, Tim de Zarn, Richard Herd, and Tim Ryan) and Dying to Live (starring Jonathan Frakes).

Swenson was a location scout on the hit 2000 comedy film Bring It On, which starred Kirsten Dunst and Gabrielle Union. He again worked for the USA Network as an Assistant Location Manager on the 2002 TV movie Red Skies (featuring Clancy Brown, Caroline Lagerfelt, and Leonard Kelly-Young) and as a Location Manager on 2004's The Last Ride. He was later a Key Assistant Location Manager on the 2006 HBO series Big Love and the hit 2007 film Disturbia. Between 2005 and 2007, he was a Location Manager on the popular reality competition series Survivor.

Before Star Trek, Swenson and his fellow Trek assistant location managers Kathy McCurdy and Scott Trimble worked together as Key Assistant Location Managers and Location Scouts on Transformers (2007). Like Star Trek, this film was written by Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci. Swenson, McCurdy, and Trimble all won a California on Location Award (COLA) for their work on Transformers. He also worked on Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (2009).
