Template:Realworld Robert Dawn (22 October 19219 July 1983; age 61) was a makeup artist, who worked on "Where No Man Has Gone Before", the second pilot of Star Trek: The Original Series. He was the son of Jack Dawn, most notable for creating the make-ups for many classic studio era films, such as The Wizard of Oz (1939, featuring Billy Curtis), Ninotchka (1939) and Meet Me in St. Louis (1944). Also, Dawn is the father of fellow makeup artist Jeff Dawn, who worked on two Star Trek feature films.

During his thirty-year career as a make-up artist, Dawn worked mostly on television projects, including series such as Thriller, Alfred Hitchcock Presents, Wagon Train and Mission: Impossible. However, he also worked on a few feature films, including Hitchcock's Marnie (1964, featuring Meg Wyllie).
