Ron Taylor as the Klingon chef.

Ron Taylor (October 16, 1952 - January 16, 2002) was an actor and singer who played the Klingon chef in the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine episodes "Melora" and "Playing God."

He is perhaps best known as the voice of Bleeding Gums Murphy in two episodes of The Simpsons, "Moaning Lisa" and "'Round Springfield."

He also made brief appearances in the films Trading Places (1983, with Bill Cobbs), Dead Heat (1988, with Robert Picardo), and Collision Course (1989, with Chris Sarandon). He also had a role in the 1989 comedy Second Sight, starring John Larroquette and John Schuck. He would also appear in the 1991 TV movie Fever, with Steven Rankin, Tim Ransom, and Gregg Henry. His other films include Heart Condition (1990, with Kieran Mulroney), There Goes the Neighborhood (1992, with William Morgan Sheppard, Jonathan Banks, Harris Yulin, and Lee Arenberg), and Amos & Andrew (1993, with Brad Dourif).

He died of a heart attack in 2002 at the age of 49.
