Deep Space 9 - vessel arrival roster

S. Crane was a space officer in the year 2370, the captain of the starship FGMS Gyt'aerat.

Under his command, the vessel traveled near the Romulan Neutral Zone, and was due to arrive at Deep Space 9 on stardate 47556.3, according to an arrival roster recorded in that station's library computer. (DS9: "Whispers")

This character was apparently named after the American author Stephen Crane, whose most famous work is The Red Badge of Courage. The name was not mentioned in dialog, it was simply listed in an okudagram graphic of an arrival roster on a viewscreen. The graphic was also populated by a number of other in-jokes.
