Sector 97 was a region of space. The territories of the Klingons and the Romulans were located far from this sector. Within the sector, there was a black cluster and Breen outposts.
In 2367, the USS Enterprise traveled to Sector 97 to locate the SS Vico, which was charting the cluster, after Starbase 514 lost contact with the science vessel. (TNG: "Hero Worship")
