Selay was one of two inhabited planets in the Beta Renner planetary system, and was inhabited by the snake-like Selay. This planet was in the same sector as Parliament. Since achieving spaceflight, Selay had been at war with the neighboring planet Antica. In the early 2360s, Starfleet had detected Ferengi contacts on this planet. In 2364, Antica and Selay both applied for Federation membership.(TNG: "Lonely Among Us")
