Shannon Cochran was born in Greensboro, North Carolina, on August 7th 1958. She has guest starred in Star Trek: The Next Generation and Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. She also appeared in Star Trek: Nemesis. She has also guest starred in ER, Frasier, NYPD Blue and Seinfeld. In a Startrek.com interview, she mentions that she married her Defiant co-star Michael Canavan since he was the only person, aside from Jonathan Frakes and Nana Vistor, she filmed the episode with.
She played the Maquis member Kalita in Preemptive Strike and Defiant.
She played Martok's wife Sirella in "You Are Cordially Invited..."
She played Romulan Senator Tal'aura in Star Trek: Nemesis.
