In 2371, Elim Garak gave Julian Bashir a holosuite program of one of Shoggoth's novels as a birthday present. (DS9: "Distant Voices")

In the Worlds of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine story, "The Lotus Flower", an unknown Cardassian finds an old copy of one of Shoggoth's enigma tale novels.
