The '''singalong''' is a ritual of humans around a campfire, supposedly after one consumes [[marshmallow]]s. In [[2287]], [[James T. Kirk]], [[Leonard McCoy]], and [[Spock]] are on shore leave. After reviewing the ship's computer database, Spock brings out a marshmallow, referring to it as a "marshmelon", and then informs the others that upon its consumption, one is required to participate in a singalong. Kirk and McCoy choose to sing "[[Row, Row, Row Your Boat]]". After teaching Spock the lyrics, they implore him to join in, but he refrains, saying he was contemplating the meaning of the words. Kirk and Leonard McCoy, informed the others upon producing a "marshmelon" dispenser that they were required to participate in a singalong after consuming the treats, according to the USS Enterprise-A's computer database.
