The Sirius Cybernetics Corporation was an organization which manufactured and designed components for cybernetic research in the Federation, based at Sirius.

In 2364, Arthur Dent, an employee of this corporation, sent an order to the starship USS Heart of Gold. This order was reviewed by Lieutenant Commander Data at the end of that year as part of an investigation into a suspected conspiracy among the highest members of Starfleet Command. (TNG: "Conspiracy", okudagram)

Several Sirius employees signed a certificate naming Ira Graves as "humanoid of the year" in gratitude for his contributions to the Proxima Centauri Interplanetary Bowling League (and also their marching band). (TNG: "The Schizoid Man", set artwork)

Sirius Cybernetics had an office at location 02-643 on Starbase Deep Space 9, as listed on a Promenade directory map. (Star Trek: Deep Space Nine set decoration)

It was an in-joke reference to the popular science fiction novel The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy.
In TNG: "The Ensigns of Command", in the text for the Treaty of Armens, the writer wrote, "All of this ongoing simply to get the text along to subparagraph 832, which is quite a ways down the page. You might think that is clever stuff. Boy, are you wrong. That goes double for anyone who had anything to do with the original treaty. Most of those lawyer folks are like in the hospital, along with executives of the Sirius Cybernetics Corporation."
