The Slaver weapon was a powerful weapon that had seven different settings. It was rediscovered in 2269 when it was found in a stasis box of the Slavers among with some meat and a picture (TAS: "The Slaver Weapon").
Lieutenant Sulu speculated that the weapon once did belong to a spy, due to the fact that it had so many specialised settings.
The weapon could function as

- s telescope,
- a laser,
- a rocket craft,
- an energy absorber,
- a computer,
- a matter to energy converter.
Even though the weapon was old when it was rediscovered, the matter to energy converter was more advanced than the Federation technology of the 23rd century.
