Solkar of Vulcan was the father of Skon, grandfather of Sarek and great-grandfather of Spock (Star Trek III: The Search for Spock).
He was the first Vulcan ambassador to Earth (ENT: "The Catwalk").
- According to the Customizable Card Game by Decipher, Solkar was the Vulcan captain of the T'plana'hath who greeted Zefram Cochrane at First Contact. This may or may not be true in official Trek canon, which has never revealed the name of the Vulcan captain.
