Template:Realworld Template:2009spoiler Star Trek D.A.C. is a forthcoming video game produced by Naked Sky Entertainment, and published by Paramount Digital Entertainment in association with Bad Robot Interactive.
A tie-in to Star Trek, the game will be released for XBox 360 via the Live Arcade download service in May 2009, concurrent with the film's release. Releases on Playstation 3 and Windows PC (also via download) will follow shortly thereafter. The title has been in development since 2008.
The game is an arcade-style space shooter in which players can engage in single player or online multiplayer ship-to-ship combat. Three different game types will be available: Deathmatch, Conquest and Assault.
Players will be able to choose from two factions: the Federation or the Romulans. Each faction has three types of playable ships: a flagship, a fighter, and a bomber. The flagship on the Federation side will be the USS Enterprise, as seen in the film. The Romulan flagship will be a vessel inspired by the Narada, the war machine commanded by Nero in the film.
Star Trek: D.A.C. will feature actual sound effects from the movie (as designed by Ben Burtt). It will also include music from the film, composed by Michael Giacchino.[1]
