Starbase 103 is a Federation starbase near the Lorenze Cluster. It is within close range of planet Minos.
After Lieutenant Geordi La Forge ordered a saucer separation following an attack on the USS Enterprise-D by the automated weapons drones in orbit of Minos, he instructed the saucer section to head to Starbase 103. (TNG: "The Arsenal of Freedom")
- It has been pointed out that the saucer, without warp drive, would have taken many years to reach the base, unless there is some aspect to warp travel or La Forge's strategy that we are not aware of.
