Professor Starnes was the father of Tommy Starnes and leader of the Starnes Exploration Party to Triacus in 2268. Starnes and the rest of his party was killed by administering themselves with cyalodin, while under the influence of Gorgan, a malevolent entity, the last of its kind, found surviving in a cave on the planet. (TOS: "And the Children Shall Lead")
Professor Starnes was played by actor James Wellman.
