The stasis room was a section on Cardassian space stations next to the infirmary. It was where bodies were kept in stasis, and could be used as a morgue.
In 2369, Julian Bashir used the stasis room of Deep Space 9 to place the deceased body of Rao Vantika. (DS9: "The Passenger")
