Steve Gausche was a tactical ops officer who worked on the USS Valiant. (DS9: "Valiant" set artwork)

In 2328, Gausche was listed to receive the bill for Scott McKnight's travel aboard the SS Manila from Beta Wiltz III to Lehman's Planet. This information was listed in the passenger manifest records in the commercial transport database and reviewed by Lieutenant Commander Data in 2370. (TNG: "Inheritance")

Gausche's name was listed on the dedication plaque of the Valiant and in an okudagram. He was named after first company grip Steve Gausche.
