Stuart Moore (born 20 February 1962; age 62) is a comic book writer and editor based in Brooklyn. He began as an editor on the Swamp Thing series in late 1990s for DC Comics. He worked on a wide variety of titles for the company and in the early 21st century, he began writing in earnest. Some titles he has written for include Detective Comics, Firestorm, Wolverine, Redwall, Punisher, and Transformers.

More recently, he contributed the story to IDW Publishing's first issue of the second Alien Spotlight series, one focusing on Tribbles. This was his third visit to the Star Trek universe after the short story "Exercises in Futility" in the WildStorm Comics Star Trek: Special and a short story, "Chaotic Response", in Constellations from Pocket Books.
