Dinner, also known as supper and evening meal, was the name of the main meal of the day, following breakfast and lunch.

In 1986, James T. Kirk had a hunch that Doctor Gillian Taylor would be more comfortable discussing the humpback whales George and Gracie over dinner with himself and Spock. Spock, however, later declined to have dinner with the both of them as they decided to have Italian food. (Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home)

While being held hostage in a cave beneath the surface of Terra Nova in 2151, Malcolm Reed answered to Athan's question if his belly was hollow, that it depends on what's for dinner. (ENT: "Terra Nova")
