TDK Mediactive

TDK or TDK Mediactive was a video game company based out of California and owned by TDK. They published licensed videogames including Robotech: The Macross Saga, Shrek: Extra Large, Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl, and Star Trek: Shattered Universe.

TDK Mediactive was formed on 11 September 2000 when TDK acquired Sound Source Interactive and merged them with BWT Labs, a studio that SSI itself had acquired in 1998. In 2003, the company was acquired by Take-Two Interactive and eventually merged into their licensing subsidiary and renamed "Take-Two Licensing".
