The Takarians were a pre-warp humanoid race who inhabit Takar II in the Delta Quadrant and are identical to humans. They are a bronze age civilization with a culture that includes legends about a pair of Sages who will come from the stars. A pair of Ferengi, Arridor and Kol, pretended to be the Sages in an effort to make money. They had drastic effects on the Takarian civilization but were driven out by the crew of the USS Voyager.
