I didn't ask where you found it. The question is the need to create an article for every word found in a script!? Will you also create article for words like "impossible", "distance", "coming", "ahead" just because they're in a script? (Some words from the first paragraph in this transcript). I think it requires a bit more sensitiveness and logic in creating all the new articles instead of creating mindless links/articles with almost no or repeating content. ::Please do take a monent to try to calm down a bit, Tom. These kinds of things are going to happen from time to time if you work on a certain task for long enough :)

::Now regarding the issue: Tom's examples are a bit irrelevant: those are words that would clearly not be allowed under the no dictionary definitions rules, whereas an adit is an actual concept, a specific type of corridor. I think that if adits as a concept were mentioned explicitly in dialogue (ex:"let's go down that adit over there"), there would be no question that it would deserve an article. However, the idea of an Adit was merely mentioned as a component of a location name. So I think the question is really if that's enough: did Star Trek mention Adits, or did it merely mention some section. Hard question, so I tried to find precedents. Going by galactic cluster, FGC, terrasphere which are also concepts that were only mentioned as components to which a number was added to create the actual reference, it should probably stay a separate article.

::However, I'm a bit confused as to Laura's post. Laura, can you more specifically explain where and how you got this from? If the term was only used in the script as you seem to say, then the article format is wrong. Also, googling this I see the area both labeled Adit 26 and attit 26 (whatever that means) in various descriptions of the episode, and see both used in transcripts. -- Capricorn (talk) 06:17, August 1, 2015 (UTC)

Merge

I really see not point in having this article and calling for a merge with the Janus VI colony article though I think a deletion would also be appropriate. Tom (talk) 15:57, July 31, 2015 (UTC)

I found it as a reference in the script and the references on the page. --LauraCC (talk) 16:01, July 31, 2015 (UTC)

I didn't ask where you found it. The question is the need to create an article for every word found in a script!? Please do take a monent to try to calm down a bit, Tom. These kinds of things are going to happen from time to time if you work on a certain task for long enough :)
Now regarding the issue: Tom's examples are a bit irrelevant: those are words that would clearly not be allowed under the no dictionary definitions rules, whereas an adit is an actual concept, a specific type of corridor.
However, I'm a bit confused as to Laura's post.
