what deck were her quarters on? (the door label should read XX-YYYY where YYYY is the room number and XX is the deck number) -- Captain Mike K. Bartel 04:53, 2 Feb 2005 (CET)

Her nameplate reads "I. J. Robinson"

When Okona goes to visit the transporter chief in her quarters, you can see the nameplate on her door. It reads "LIEUTENANT I. J. ROBINSON". I believe this should take precedence over the script. 70.251.25.62 23:07, 11 November 2008 (UTC)\

Since what is seen/said on screen takes precedence, I would tend to agree, unless there is some other reason this character has those initials. This article has been here since 2004 with this title, so there must be some argument in favor of it.--31dot 23:19, 11 November 2008 (UTC)
Besides, if you look closely, it does read "LIEUTENANT B. G. ROBINSON". --Jörg 05:22, 12 November 2008 (UTC)

It does not. The initials are fuzzy, and while some may argue that they read something other than I. J., one thing I think is certain is that they do not read B. G. Looks like BG to me... --OuroborosCobra talk 04:02, 13 November 2008 (UTC)
I think this is one case where the Encyclopedia can be treated as a primary reference. Unlike starship classes and registries, there is no need to make up a characters initials, just for the fun of it, unless that is what the placard actually read, a placard I'm sure was created by the very same author of the Encyclopedia. --Alan 04:07, 13 November 2008 (UTC)
It looks like BG to me as well. The narrowness of the font could make it appear different if one is not looking closely. Even if it is unclear in the episode, we should fall back to the script.--31dot 19:57, 13 November 2008 (UTC)
Screenshot from the episode, slightly sharpened, clearly B.J.. http://s95.photobucket.com/albums/l142/gaghyogi49/Week%20100/BGRobinsonsdoorsign.jpg --Jörg 20:12, 13 November 2008 (UTC)
Looks like 'B.G.' Jorg :) — Morder 20:22, 13 November 2008 (UTC)
Oops, sorry, meant that. --Jörg 20:58, 13 November 2008 (UTC)
Back then, Teri Hatcher automatically made men think "B.J." -- it's no fault of yours. -- Captain MKB 22:34, 13 November 2008 (UTC)
