Unnamed personsEdit

I removed an entry on Bill from an article on unnamed personnel, because he had a name -- Bill -- Captain Mike K. Barteltalk 21:01, 29 Jul 2005 (UTC)

Bill isn't much of a name. In fact it's only a nickname. (155) 29 Jul 05

Well I wouldn't be against making a listing on Unnamed Starfleet personnel listing characters who were only referred to by nickname.

But recreating his entire paragraph, duplicating the information in two articles, is kind of unnecessary. The information goes in one article, and if it is relevant to another article then that article should link to the article where the information lies. -- Captain Mike K. Barteltalk

We can strip it down to a picture and a link - that would work. -<unsigned>
"Bill" is the name of the character, therefore he is not unnamed. Considering how it stacks up against the other unnamed characters (ie "Aide de camp", "USS Odyssey first officer", etc), I see no reason why it should be included here. Besides we have several pages built around characters who only had first names given, like Jack, Patrick, Timothy, Lauren, Sam, etc. -- Bill is no different. --Alan del Beccio 23:26, 29 Jul 2005 (UTC)

Removed Edit

I removed the following bit of misplaced information:

The position of CIC has also been referred to as Chief In Command. (Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country-End Credits)

I suppose this could be added to the article's background section, though it might be more suited to the Commander-in-Chief article. --From Andoria with Love 20:58, February 20, 2010 (UTC)
