:In many books, [[Uhura]] has not only lived to well over 100, but she is a 4-star admiral and the Chief of Starfleet Intelligence. One book even states that those in her position rarely retire. Starfleet is always worried about leaks. So those that retire rather than die in office must get their memory wiped. She went through that before thanks to [[Nomad]], but I think she would go fighting.

Chief of Starfleet Intelligence

Non canon - (AJH)

I added some canon info, I think it should stay.--Tim Thomason 13:31, 30 Aug 2005 (UTC)

Admiral Raner

Was admiral Raner really the Chief of Intelligence? Because according to the script we can see this:

PRESSMAN:"It's not just me. The Chief of Starfleet Security has personally assured me of her complete support."

RIKER:"Admiral Raner... ? How many other people know about this?"

PICARD:"Margaret... something's very wrong here. Do you know what's going on?"

MARGARET BLACKWELL:"I know that the Chief of Starfleet Intelligence herself is watching this one, Jean-Luc. So you would be well-advised to follow Pressman's orders and leave it at that. Starfleet out."

So, it would seem that admiral Raner was the Chief of Starfleet Security and the chief of Starfleet Intelligence is an unnamed female admiral.

In many books, Uhura has not only lived to well over 100, but she is a 4-star admiral and the Chief of Starfleet Intelligence. One book even states that those in her position rarely retire. Starfleet is always worried about leaks. So those that retire rather than die in office must get their memory wiped. She went through that before thanks to Nomad, but I think she would go fighting.--Will 05:52, 10 August 2006 (UTC)
